Description
Cas9 Nickase is a modified version of the CRISPR-associated protein Cas9, with one of its nuclease domains inactivated. This alteration enables precise single-strand DNA nicking instead of cleavage. By using two guide RNAs targeting opposite DNA strands, Cas9 Nickase induces adjacent single-strand breaks, facilitating DNA repair processes. It offers increased specificity and reduced off-target effects compared to wild-type Cas9, while still allowing targeted genome editing. This mRNA possesses a Cap1 structure, which is highly efficient in capping. It is fully substituted with N1-methyl-pseudo Uridine to improve expression and decrease immunogenicity. Additionally, the mRNA features a 110A tail in its sequence, resembling a mature mRNA.
